MARMOT
Retail Design

SINCE 1947 MARMOT HAS BEEN COMMITTED TO DESIGNING HIGH QUALITY TECHNICAL APPAREL, SLEEPING BAGS, AND BACKPACKS FOR THE OUTDOOR ENTHUSIASTS WORLDWIDE.

Through the years Marmot has developed a loyal following of outdoor enthusiasts. They came to us at The Carlson Group with a request to enhance their in-store presence. These days brands in the outdoor retail environment are stepping up their in-store presence and really calling attention to their brand. Marmot wanted to make a big statement with a small initial investment to gain traction with the big players within the company.

THE SOLUTION:

To create a red I-beam hung from above. This beam acts as a brand way-finder and cuts through all the visual clutter often found in an outdoor retail environment. The beam helps define the space Marmot takes up in the store. Brand logos, way-finding signage, and lifestyle graphics can interact with the beam as well and create more visual interest.

Floor fixtures incorporating the same I-beam draw the eye up to the I-beam above and create interesting lines.
